Job Title: Grants Manager

Position Summary:

Project H.O.O.D. is seeking a committed and proactive Grants Manager to join our team. This role will be instrumental in securing funding from diverse sources, particularly focusing on state and city grants. The ideal candidate will conduct grant research, oversee applications, manage grants, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and grantor guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Exploration and Identification

  • Perform thorough research to pinpoint potential grant opportunities from various sources, notably state and city entities.

  • Maintain an extensive database of potential grantors, including their eligibility criteria and application deadlines.

Development of Grant Proposals

  • Craft compelling grant proposals and applications that highlight Project H.O.O.D.'s initiatives, objectives, and impact.

  • Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to gather pertinent information and data for grant applications.

Submission of Grant Applications

  • Ensure punctual and accurate submission of grant applications while meeting all specified requirements and deadlines.

  • Monitor the progress of submitted applications and provide follow-up support as needed.

Grant Oversight

  • Supervise the administration of awarded grants, overseeing budget tracking, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

  • Maintain precise and updated records of activities associated with grants.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of routine grant reports to grantors, ensuring adherence to reporting guidelines.

  • Work closely with the finance team to monitor grant expenditures and ensure financial compliance.

Building Relationships

  • Cultivate positive relationships with grantors and engage in meetings or communication as required.

  • Stay informed about alterations in grant guidelines, policies, and funding priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, or a related

  • Demonstrated experience in grant research, proposal writing, and grant management, preferably within a nonprofit setting.

  • Familiarity with city, State, & federal grant programs and their application processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

  • Proficiency in grant management software and tools.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.

  • Exceptional analytical and research aptitude.
