At the heart of Project H.O.O.D.'s mission to uplift and empower our community stands the Leadership and Economic Center—a vibrant hub of opportunity, innovation, and transformation.

This center serves as a beacon of hope, a place where aspirations become realities, and where the community's economic potential is realized.

Construction Milestones

Construction began in the fall of 2023. Our expected timeline is 24-36 months. Since breaking ground, significant strides have been made in the construction of the Leadership & Economic Opportunity Center. The foundation is laid, and the framework of the building stands tall, a testament to the commitment and dedication of everyone involved in this transformative project.

Interior Design and Infrastructure

Our team has been meticulously working on the interior design and infrastructure, ensuring that the Center will be a welcoming and functional space for learning, collaboration, and growth. Classrooms, meeting spaces, and communal areas are being designed with the aim of fostering an environment that inspires and nurtures success.

Community Involvement

Theatre

  • The Theatre at the Leadership and Economic Center is a cultural hub, hosting diverse performances, presentations, and events that enrich our community's artistic and intellectual landscape.

Swimming Pool

  • Our world-class swimming pool provides a haven for relaxation and recreation. Dive into a refreshing experience that contributes to a vibrant and thriving community.

Indoor Basketball Gym

  • Stay active and healthy in our state-of-the-art Inside Gymnasium, equipped with everything you need for a fulfilling workout. This facility is designed to promote fitness, well-being, and community engagement.

Classrooms & Meeting Space

  • The Programs and Events of Project H.O.O.D. will be expanded upon in ample classroom and meeting room space.

Community

  • Our one-of-a-kind community center will become the central hub of our neighborhood. A safe place for all to gather and where community is created.

Food & Retail Space

  • Our street level will include food retail space - all new dining experiences for our community. Including: Woodgrain Pizza, Oberweis Ice Cream, and That Burger Joint.
