Job Title: Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Workforce Development Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of candidates for workforce development programs. This role involves identifying potential participants, assessing their skills, coordinating recruitment events, and fostering relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and businesses. This person in this role will also work with the Illinois Works Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Program

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for workforce development programs.

  • Review applications, conduct interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and readiness for various training and development programs.

  • Collaborate with educational institutions, community organizations, employers, and other stakeholders to identify potential candidates and establish referral networks for program recruitment.

  • Organize and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, workshops, and informational sessions to promote workforce development programs and attract potential participants.

  • Develop outreach campaigns, and communication strategies to effectively promote workforce development programs and attract candidates.

  • Provide guidance and support to candidates & participants throughout the application and enrollment process, addressing inquiries and assisting with necessary documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records of candidate information, applications, and program participation data.

  • Generate reports to track recruitment metrics and program effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

• Proven experience

• Knowledge of recruitment strategies, candidate assessment techniques, and outreach methodologies.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to organize events, manage multiple tasks, and work independently

• Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.

• Understanding of workforce development programs, employment services, and career pathways.
