Recovery in the H.O.O.D.
Recovery is not a destination — it’s a journey best traveled together. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it alone. We walk with you, step by step.
A community that walks with you.
Recovery in the H.O.O.D. is a peer-led support community for neighbors working through addiction, trauma, and the hard road back to wholeness. It was built on a simple truth: healing happens faster, and lasts longer, when no one has to do it alone.
Here you’ll find people who understand — because many of them have walked the same road. There’s no judgment and no cost. Just honest support, real accountability, and a room full of people pulling for you.
We meet people wherever they are on the journey: someone taking a first tentative step, someone rebuilding after a setback, or someone years into recovery who wants to give back. Every story is welcome.
Weekly meetings. Monthly Speakerthons.
Weekly meetings
Wednesdays · 4:30 PM · at Project H.O.O.D. · Free
Every Wednesday, our Recovery in the H.O.O.D. meetings bring neighbors together to support one another, share openly, and find strength in community — a safe space for healing, accountability, and hope. Come as you are.
Monthly Speakerthons
One Saturday a month · 1:00 PM · at Project H.O.O.D. · Free
Once a month we host a Speakerthon — an open gathering where people in recovery share their testimonies out loud. These nights remind everyone in the room that change is possible and that recovery is worth fighting for.

Referrals — and a hand to hold along the way.
When someone needs more than peer support, we connect them to trusted treatment facilities and care providers. But we don’t just hand you a phone number and wish you luck.
We walk with you step by step — helping you understand your options, get to intake, navigate the paperwork, and stay connected through the ups and downs. Our goal isn’t only to get you into treatment; it’s to make sure you’re still supported when you come home.
What walking with you looks like.
- Referrals to trusted treatment facilities and providers
- Step-by-step help getting to intake and through the paperwork
- Weekly peer support meetings & group circles
- Monthly Speakerthons — testimony, encouragement, community
- Ongoing connection and accountability after treatment
